FLC education researchers to present findings at Growing Together Summit

Alumni from Fort Lewis College’s first ever Master of Arts in Education class will present the findings from their research projects at the 2015 Growing Together Summit. The research presentations will happen during a reception on Tuesday, June 9 from 4:15 – 6 p.m. on the FLC Student Union Plaza (rain site: FLC Student Union Ballroom). The event is free and open to everyone.

Research topics to be presented at the reception include barriers to academic success for low-income students, integrating new technology into the classroom, and analysis of teaching models. These projects were part of the Master of Arts in Education course of study.

In its third year, the Growing Together Summit brings together educators and administrators from across the Southwest with the goal of sharing ideas to improve the region’s educational systems. The Summit is presented by the San Juan Board of Cooperative Education Services and is being held at Fort Lewis College from June 8-11, 2015.
