Food, music and fun at FLC’s 4th at the Fort alumni celebration

Fort Lewis College (FLC) alumni and their families, along with FLC faculty and staff and their families, are invited to the College’s 4th at the Fort celebration next to campus’ McPherson Chapel on Monday, July 4. The party runs from 7:30 to 9:40 p.m. and costs $5 per person.

The edge of campus overlooking town, called the Rim, is the best seat in town to watch the Durango Fireworks Show, which begins around 9:15 p.m., so the good spots fill up quickly. The FLC 4th at the Fort celebration gives alumni, faculty and staff a reserved section of the Rim just for them. Watermelon, cookies and other treats will be served as the Pete Giuliani Band performs. Ska Brewing will provide additional refreshments.

For more information, visit www.fortlewis.edu/alumni. Please note that sections of Rim Drive will be closed from 7-10 p.m. on July 4.
