Hispanic resource center provides a family and community to students

More than 350 Fort Lewis College students identify themselves as Hispanic. El Centro de Muchos Colores, the College’s Hispano Resource Center, provides a central location for relaxing, studying, and gathering with other students of Hispanic heritage or those interested in Hispanic language and culture. As the campus' vibrant center of Hispanic culture, El Centro hosts frequent dances, pot lucks, burrito sales, Loteria (Mexican bingo) nights, and cultural-awareness programming, such as Fiesta on the Mesa. El Centro also offers tutoring and a large study area, and houses the student-organized Club Baile Folklorico and Club del Centro, which organize Hispanic-themed dances, dinners, and events.
