The best of the best student research on display at the FLC Undergraduate Research Symposium

From analyzing the geometry and statistical patterns of the country music group Lady Antebellum to understanding the synthesis and characterization of P,P’-1,4-diphospha-cyclohexane derivatives and their metal coordination reactions, the Fort Lewis College 2012 Undergraduate Research Symposium is full of fascinating research projects, all led by FLC students.
 
The Symposium, which is free and open to the public, will be held on Thursday, April 19 beginning at 12:20 p.m. Students from the FLC School of Natural & Behavioral Sciences will present their research projects that they have been working on all semester. The day will begin in the Student Union Vallecito Room with oral presentations running until 6:15 p.m. Overlapping will be poster presentations in the Student Union Ballroom beginning at 5:15 p.m.
 
This year’s Symposium keynote address will be given by the 2012 FLC Featured Scholar Dr. Gary Gianniny. His address, entitled “The Pulse of the Earth, The Heart Beat of the Heavens; Climate Change in Geologic and Human Time,” will kick off the Symposium in the Student Union Vallecito Room at 12:20 p.m.
