Meet Our Staff
Trio Upward Bound

Tess is originally from La Crosse, Wisconsin where she was raised and attended college. She received a BS in Criminal Justice from Viterbo University. After graduating from college, she moved to Colorado with her husband and has enjoyed living in the beautiful state of Colorado since 2016. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outside with her family and their three dogs. Tess enjoys working with TRIO Upward Bound because she loves helping students to reach their full potential.

Fiona was raised in Durango, Colorado, and has lived all over La Plata County. While in high school, she joined TRIO Talent Search, which helped her enroll at Colorado State University (Go Rams!). She graduated with a dual degree in Clinical and Counseling Psychology and Criminal Justice in 2021. After returning to her hometown, Fiona discovered her passion for working with the TRIO programs that had helped her succeed in high school. When Fiona is not working, she enjoys knitting, crocheting, gardening, or adventuring outdoors with her dog, Deacon.

Aaron grew up experiencing multiple countries from a young age. He spent the majority of his years living in Barcelona, Spain and Austin, Texas. He attended the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton, Texas where he earned a B.S. in Exercise and Sport Science. Since graduating, Aaron has been working as a Special Education Teacher in Denver, Colorado. As a Special Education teacher he is passionate about developing student Self-Determination and is excited to support high school students in Southwest Colorado with achieving their goals. Outside of Work he loves to camp, cycle, run, climb and ski.
