Career Profile:  Mary Sue has devoted her life to her family, home, and community.  Along the way she has raised two children and supported her husband in his academic career as well as his participation in many volunteer activities.  She has maintained the family home and provided assistance to aging parents.  She enjoys the family’s active lifestyle of hiking, skiing, and extensive travel to many parts of the world.

In the workplace Mary Sue has worked as Secretary to the Department of Romance Languages at Harvard University (1960-1962), Church Secretary/Administrator for her church (1971-1986), Manpower, Inc. (1988-1990), and office support for Camp Waukeela, Eaton Center, NH (1990-1992).

In the community Mary Sue has volunteered as a Den Mother, library page, Sunday School teacher, and publicity coordinator for the hospital auxiliary.  She has coordinated many fund raising projects, such as quilts for the ABC Project, antique shows for the church ladies association, and yard sales, bake sales, etc.

Currently, her life is filled with  the joys of grandchildren, new experiences, friends, travel, and a chance to explore her passion for quilting and other crafts.

FLC Activities:  Mary Sue has been Secretary of  Professional Associates of Fort Lewis College since 2002.  She is also a member of the Host Family Program Steering Committee.
