Housing

Ensure all students, staff, and faculty have access to safe and affordable housing.

  1. Use a multi-pronged approach to ensure all students can access affordable on or off-campus housing.
  2. Expand housing resource options to assist employees in navigating affordable rental and home ownership.
  3. Serve as a collaborative partner to advocate for and solve regional housing needs.

Food

Ensure all students are fed and have access to culturally relevant, local, and nutritious food.

  1. Increase on-campus food sources from culturally relevant and nutritious food providers.
  2. Grow and institutionalize the Grub Hub to provide access to affordable food.
  3. Develop a comprehensive campus-wide approach to addressing food security on campus.

Mental health & well-being

Foster belonging, well-being, and social connection as core aspects of campus culture.

  1. Centralize well-being services through a dedicated Student Well-being Hub.
  2. Expand culturally responsive health services, outreach, and wellness coaching to serve all students (see Reconciliation).
  3. Foster community and enhance a sense of belonging through programs, student organizations, and campus-wide events for all of campus, especially diverse students.
  4. Elevate holistic, trauma-informed mental health and well-being services through training and care team support in collaboration with academic affairs

Invest in our people

Address the regional cost of living through wages, benefits, and access to affordable childcare to recruit better and retain students, staff, and faculty.

  1. Invest in our people through competitive wages and creative benefit structures.
  2. Recruit and retain faculty and staff of color through mentorship, equitable hiring practices, culturally responsive professional development, and recognition of additional labor
  3. Identify and expand childcare services for students, staff, and faculty.
