TRIO is a place where I feel safe, welcomed and am able to get my work done. I meet with my inspirational advisor, Emma Salazar, every few weeks to check in to see how I am doing. She’s always rooting for me and truly cares about how I am doing. Had it not been for these two TRIO programs and all of the warm encouragements, I am not sure I would have made it this far.
