Welcome to the Political Analysis Lab! 

PAL 2016All Political Science majors at Fort Lewis take part in the Political Analysis Lab (PAL) as the capstone experience of their undergraduate career. Students complete their own individual thesis projects as well as working as a research assistant for the PAL as we collect and analyze our own original data. 

Political Analysis Lab Data:

  • The 2016 PAL conducted an exit poll of the 2016 general elections. Students designed the survey instrument to include questions on feelings towards the presidential candidates and campaign and several specific policies on the ballot from right to die to marijuana legalization to terrorism.   
  • The 2017 PAL amassed an enormous amount of survey data on health care policy and compared it to policy outputs to understand responsiveness on health care policy making.
