About Dr. Mark Beattie
Dr. Mark Beattie is an assistant professor in the Health & Human Performance Department. Mark's primary research area is organizational behavior in sports organizations. In fact, his doctoral research explored organizational culture within NCAA Division II intercollegiate athletics teams. More specifically, he examined the effect of person-environment fit on athlete satisfaction, academic satisfaction, and burnout. His secondary research interests include the intersection of sports and politics and the scholarship of teaching and learning.
