About Dr. Michael Grubb
Dr. Michael Grubb is an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Fort Lewis College, where he has taught physical and general chemistry courses since 2016. Before joining Fort Lewis, Dr. Grubb was a Marie Curie Research Fellow at the University of Bristol in England. He conducted ultrafast spectroscopy experiments and developed data analysis software for decomposing transient spectra used by research groups worldwide.
His recent research focuses on "Trash Chemistry": building high-functioning scientific instrumentation from commonly available or discarded items.
In 2016, Dr. Grubb started the first annual Fort Lewis Science Open House, an event he organizes and performs each spring.
