About Dr. Melissa Knight-Maloney
Dr. Knight-Maloney is a Durango local. She graduated from Durango High School and Fort Lewis College. She received her Masters and Ph.D. in Physical Education (Exercise Physiology concentration) from the University of New Mexico. She has been at Fort Lewis since 1997 teaching Exercise Science Testing and Statistics, Exercise Testing and Prescription, Exercise Physiology, and ES Research Design & Development. Her research interests are hyperoxia and exercise & diabetes and sport performance. She competes in triathlons as a hobby, making the USA Triathlon Age Group Sprint Triathlon World Championship Team in 2009. She also enjoys the occasional running or cycling race.
