Dr. Leahy Dr. Leahy’s background is in Mechanical Engineering. His research and student project interest are varied and include orthopaedic biomechanics, as well as materials research for improving impact attenuation in helmets. He also has industry experience in automotive racing and machine design and has supervised students in design projects that have included the Baja SAE car competition.
