About Dr. Paul F. Clay

Paul F. Clay is a professor of management in the School of Business Administration at Fort Lewis College.  Before moving into academia, he worked in the financial services and high tech industries. He earned a Ph.D. in Management Information Systems from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University, an M.S. in Economics from the University of Utah and a B.A. in Business Administration from Fort Lewis College. Prior to returning to Fort Lewis College in 2013, Dr. Clay was on the faculty at Washington State University.

Dr. Clay conducts research in the areas of knowledge management systems and measurement model specification (finding ways to improve the way we statistically validate formative measurement models). He is an advisory board member of the Sustainability, Ethics and Entrepreneurship Conference at the University of Denver and the past finance chair of the Americas Conference on Information Systems (2012). He is a frequent reviewer for journals such as Management Information Systems QuarterlyInformation Systems Research, the Journal of the Association for Information SystemsInformation & Management and the European Journal of Information Systems

When away from work, he can be found exploring the San Juan Mountains of southwest Colorado or the red rock country of southern Utah.
