Antonio holds a Ph.D. in Management Science from ESADE Business School, a Master of Business Administration from Boston University, and a cum laude B.S. in Economics from Babson College. Before moving into academia, Dr. Lecuna worked as a financial analyst at Bankers Trust Company in New York. He then became an entrepreneur affiliated with Margaritaville Restaurant and Bongo Beach Bar on Margarita Island in Venezuela.
Before joining FLC, he worked as a small business instructor at La Salle Business Engineering School in Spain and as an associate professor of entrepreneurship at Universidad del Desarrollo (UDD) in Chile. Antonio is passionate about teaching, and UDD twice awarded his commitment to this profession with the Best Teaching Award (2016 and 2018).
As a complement to his teachings, his research lies at the crossroads of minority entrepreneurship, the inequalities and entrepreneurship relationship, and the role of entrepreneurial imaginativeness in the process of idea generation. His most recent work has been published in journals including Business Strategy and the Environment, Journal of Entrepreneurship in Emerging Economies, International Entrepreneurship and Management Journal, and Entrepreneurship Research Journal.
