About Dr. Lorraine Taylor
Lorraine Taylor joined FLC in 2013. Dr. Taylor’s research interests include tourist decision making, niche tourism, marijuana tourism, spurious loyalty and vacation guilt. She began her career working in the hotel industry for Walt Disney World, Marriott International and the Five Star and Five Diamond-rated Sanctuary at Kiawah Island Golf Resort. She also worked as an inspector for Conde Nast Johansens, a series of travel reference guides.
Dr. Taylor is a scholarship reviewer for Tourism Cares, a nonprofit organization that strives to preserve and enhance the travel experience for future generations through domestic and global volunteer programs, events and more. She serves on the executive committee of Local First, a nonprofit composed of businesses and organizations in La Plata County.
