Title: Bridging Worlds, Adventures in Life, Culture and Environment as an Anthropologist
Join us on March 5 at 4:30 p.m. on the Main Stage of the FLC Theatre to hear Dr. Rebecca Austin from the FLC Department of Anthropology discuss her work in Alaska, on the Navajo Nation, in the Philippines, and most recently Appalachia, where she has been interacting with communities in West Virginia and Virginia who are fighting the Mountain Valley Pipeline.
The FLC Undergraduate Research Speaker Series allows students at all levels, staff, faculty, and the broader Durango community to hear research-related personal stories. The talks last 35-40 minutes, followed by Q&A, snacks, and conversation. Watch previous Speaker Series talks on our YouTube channel.
