Title:  The Radical Potential of Community Research

Join us on October 16th at 4:30 p.m. on the Main Stage of the FLC Theatre to hear Dr. Tapati Dutta from the FLC Department of Public Health discuss her experiences doing public health research and how the meaning of ‘community engagement’ has evolved for her.  Based on true stories from her lived experiences, field work, journaling, and interactions with communities, this presentation highlights the evolving meaning of the tenets of ‘community engagement’ while reiterating the power of community engaged participatory action research and scholarship.

The FLC Undergraduate Research Speaker Series allows students at all levels, staff, faculty, and the broader Durango community to hear research-related personal stories. The talks last ~40 minutes and are followed by Q&A, free food, and conversation.  Watch previous Speaker Series talks on our YouTube channel.
