Undergraduate Research

The Undergraduate Research Spring Symposium & Awards Gala provides students an opportunity to give oral and poster presentations about their scholarly work.  This event is happening on Thursday, April 24th this year.  The whole campus and wider community are invited to participate!  Join us throughout the day and come to the Awards Gala where we will watch two student TED-like talks, see the debut of this year's Scholars' Video, and recognize the 2025 UGR Scholar Award winners.

Approximate schedule: 

9:15 – 9:45 a.m.      Kickoff with breakfast, Colorado Room
9:45 – 10:45 a.m.    Poster Session A, Student Union Ballroom
11 a.m. – noon        Oral Presentation Session 1, Noble130, Chem130, and Senate Chambers
12:15  – 1:15 p.m.   Poster Session B with lunch, Student Union Ballroom
1:30 – 2:30 p.m.      Oral Presentation Session 2,  Noble130, Chem130, and Senate Chambers
2:45 – 3:45 p.m.      Oral Presentation Session 3,  Noble130, Chem130, and Senate Chambers
4 :00– 5:00 p.m.      Awards Gala: Student TED-like talks, Scholars’ Video and Awards, with drinks & appetizers after, Main Stage of the FLC Theatre

Poster Presentations--Register by submitting the form BELOW by midnight on April 17th

Students who would like to present a poster, please submit the form below by Thursday, April 17th. This will reserve an easel, poster board, and spot for you at the event. Our office will let you know by Monday April 21st which session you are in.  Visit our UGR Canvas for information on how to create & print a poster at FLC.
