Kris has worked at Fort Lewis since August of 2002, starting as an exempt staff member, then faculty, and now in the Provost Office. Kris still enjoys teaching in the Teacher Education Department but now focuses on working collaboratively with other offices to promote student success and provide faculty support.
This year, she is busy refining processes with the Academic Care and Behavioral Intervention Teams and meeting with students and faculty to assist in referrals and systemic concerns. She also fields problem-solving with families and academic departments. Pete and Kris are busy preparing for our future HLC visit and accreditation. Her research interests are educational leadership and family, school, and community partnerships, particularly in higher education.
