The Department Chairs, Dean and Faculty have done an outstanding job implementing ACS Chemical training. We have exceeded estimated numbers of 500 and trained over 600 of our students in Lab Safety this semester. Wonderful job everyone, we are one very dedicated team.
Aaron joined our team in December and we are so grateful for all that he does for the program and our students! His energy and excitement for his work is contagious, helping us through these turbulent times. Thank you Aaron!
Allison Asselin went above and beyond her job responsibilities to assist with an afterhours campus event, Food is an Experience. Her diligence in helping utilize the Kitchen Lab as well as assisting with the food preparations for the Asian-Indian meal was incredibly valuable to the experience of those in attendance. We are so grateful for her support and contribution to this special event. THANK YOU, ALLISON!
Allison Riggs has done an amazing job coordinating with different departments to facilitate the needs of Housing on campus. She goes above and beyond to ensure students are taking care of and is greatly appreciated. Allison is a valuable member of campus community and a great team member.
Bert spent over a week working on clearing shrubs and tree branches from around our office making the facility look much cleaner and well taken care of. Thank you for taking care of how our campus looks, and especially the area around our office.
Brian Foster demonstrated exceptional dedication by working overnight to troubleshoot and resolve an internet outage that lasted over 18 hours. His commitment to staying throughout most of the night to address the issue before classes the next morning highlights Brian's devotion to the College. Fort Lewis is indeed fortunate to have someone of Brian's character on its staff.
Cody Reynolds worked diligently overnight to troubleshoot and resolve an internet outage that lasted over 18 hours. His continued efforts to address the issue before classes the next morning demonstrate his strong commitment to the College. Even after the problem was resolved, Cody continued to stay on the phone with technical support to learn more about troubleshooting such challenging outages in the future. Fort Lewis is indeed fortunate to have someone with Cody's enthusiasm and dedication on its staff.
An anonymous driver called our hot-line and complimented Dalton and Josh’s driving. This is great safety awareness, looks great on FLC and set the example of how we approach safe driving with our students. Well done!
Frank showed a level of outstanding awareness and support for our students. Thank you Frank!
Jennica has been an amazing addition to the Counseling Center. Jennica transitioned seamlessly into this position earlier this semester and has already had a wonderful impact. From day one we could see your hard work and dedication to FLC and the students we serve. The Counseling Center is very lucky to have you on the team. Thank you for all that you do!
As the custodian for Animas Hall, Mike's presence in the building has been invaluable. He makes a point to have intentional interactions with the students and will pass on their concerns or suggestions for improvements. He brings such great energy to the hall.
PPS Housing Custodial department. While they do the job of keeping the residential halls clean which sometimes is taking for granted, they also have dealt with multiple issues through the year and have done an exemplary job maintaining the buildings. From keeping the buildings clean while helping the students be "at home" during their time in school, I am truly thankful to the men and women who make it possible. If you see a custodian, please thank them( like most the students do every day). They are such a wonderful team and a valuable asset to campus life.
Sydney does a wonderful job taking care of the students in her assigned buildings. She is always available to lend a helping hand and her insight and quick thinking allow various departments to get exactly what they need to get the job done. She is greatly appreciated for the work she does and is a valuable member of the campus community.
Dr. Dutta was so kind to share her talent in cooking and knowledge with the FLC Staff/Faculty community. There was an immense amount of learning and sharing that occurred during the Food is an Experience event which strengthened the spirit of community across many. We appreciate you so much!
Shout out to Taylar for being an amazing, inclusive programmer! Taylar goes above and beyond to cultivate purposeful, engaging and relevant health promotion programming that meets everyone where they are at. It's no easy task and means her office is always filled with programming materials and students, but this only tells me that she is the heartbeat of this FLC community and we appreciate her so much.
Tess's strong compassion, leadership, and tenacity has brought this relatively new team together and kept us focused on what is important. She is relentless in supporting those around her and always doing what is right. What would we do without you!? Thank you, Tess!
I am very appreciative of Zane Brink from IT Help Desk. Zane initially was trying to fix why all my Drives were not working which was making it impossible to bring in loan records from the Dept of Ed. Zane, with much patience, believed most of the problem had been fixed. Unfortunately, the initial fix created more problems. But in true superhero fashion, Zane once again came to the rescue and recreated my Drives to allow my processing to work again. It appears the initial problem has been resolved as well. Unfortunately for Zane, he had to find out the hard way how unique things work in the Financial Aid Office.
