Recognize a colleague with a Fli-Hi Award

Want to show your appreciation for a fellow employee’s hard work? The Fli-Hi Award is a simple way to give them the recognition they deserve. Just follow these three steps:

  1. Download the Fli- Hi Award (PDF)
  2. Fill in the downloaded form and Save it with a different file name
  3. Upload it to Human Resources secure website
  4. We send a copy to you, the recipient, the recipient's supervisor, and put in the employee’s files

Each month, Fli-Hi Award recipients will also be celebrated in a campus-wide spotlight! Thank you for supporting and encouraging the amazing work happening at Fort Lewis College. Let’s keep building each other up.

Shoutouts

Paulinda helped me secure my FLC account when it was accessed and modified by a bad actor off campus. She was a calm professional who helped me immensely during a very difficult time. She supported me by walking me through the steps to secure my FLC account.

Allyson had a vision to redesign the Visit Folders, information that all prospective students get when visiting campus. Her creative mind and motivation saw this project through, and it is beautiful. Allyson is always enthusiastic, creative, and organized. She is a true asset to the college.

Justin is not only a wonderful professor to our Music students, but he has also taken on the role of our Music Department Coordinator this year. This new role has doubled his workload, which has been challenging, but it didn't stop him from giving it 100%! He is working endlessly to help make our department better.

Thank you for your help when we had a deer get tied up in one of the hammocks around campus. The officers and CSO ensured the situation was under control and that no one had to interfere and possibly hurt themselves while trying to assist. The situation was resolved quickly, and the deer was released without harm. The police officers and CSO do tireless work on campus, dealing with multiple issues daily, so please thank them when you run into one. They more than deserve it!

Tommy
Our students and staff in Housing would like to recognize Tommy for his quick and excellent customer service while attending to work orders! He is always super friendly, efficient, and attentive to our needs.

Brett is amazing to work with and always willing to answer the silliest of questions! He actively works to improve our policies, procedures, and workplace environment. He also delves into the "why" of problems and has significant experience and advice to share. Brett, you're awesome!

Sydney is the epitome of creative projects and solutions. She has been revamping several programs within Student Housing, many of which have had great impacts for our students. Great job, Sydney!

Joe has made an impact on the game environment for multiple sports this Fall. He consistently goes above and beyond to enhance the experience for all involved. He has also done an excellent job of scheduling, managing, and encouraging student employees for the department. Finally, he started a new program to recognize students who go above and beyond each month. Thank you, Joe, for the difference you are making for the Skyhawks.
