FLC receives funding from various sources including Federal, State, and Private Institutions. Use the following links to search for funding opportunities relevant to your department, research or project idea.

  • Mellon Foundation - Arts & Culture, Higher Learning, Humanities in Place, Public Knowledge, Presidential Initiatives
  • Spencer Foundation - Education, Research projects & training fellowships, Field-building initiatives.
  • Sloan Foundation - seeks proposals for original initiatives led by outstanding individuals or teams. We are interested in projects that have a high expected return to society, exhibit a high degree of methodological rigor, and for which funding from the private sector, government, or other foundations is not yet widely available.
  • HHMI (Howard Hughes Medical Institute) - Supports programs for Early Investigators, Early Career, and Open Science
