This undated map (ca.
1750?), "dedicated to progress of knowledge and recognition of two
hemispheres, one terrestrial and the other maritime," shows two
hemispheres: one land, the other water.
It indicates the locations of some Indians and many settlements on the
Eastern Seaboard of North America and in Europe and North Africa, and shows
Greenland as a peninsula north of North America.
Includes the outline of Australia, four of the Great Lakes, and prime
meridian line through Paris. Curved
projection.
