This map, ca. 1750,
shows four compass roses with intercepts for both latitude and longitude.
It depicts California as an island and shows the Bay of Fundy with its
tributary rivers, and to the north Canada as one large area and Nova
Britannica as another area, north of New England.
Mercator (?) projection.
This
map forms part of the Cutter World Map Collection, collection C 003, at the Center of Southwest Studies, Fort Lewis
College.
