Subjects ~ Notes: Los Pinos Indian Agency (Colo.); ; Ute Indians--Agents; Los Pinos Creek (Colo.)  ~  A dark photo of a group of Ute Indians standing with the Indian agent outside of the wooden agency buillding near the junction of Cochetopa Pass and Los Pinos Creek, circa early 1870s (i.e., before the agency was moved in 1874).    Ute sub-chief Colorow is seated on the right of the Agent. This agency was called Los Pinos I; the subsequent Uncompahgre agency near present-day Colona Colorado was called Los Pinos II.)
