FLC Environmental Center to show “Racing Extinction” at Embrace the Earth event

The Fort Lewis College Environmental Center is hosting the first annual Embrace the Earth event featuring the film “Racing Extinction" on Thursday, April 14, 2016.

Embrace the Earth will take place at the FLC Student Union Ballroom. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. and film begins at 6:30 p.m. Advance tickets are $12 (includes movie/food) or $15 at the door and are available at Maria's Bookshop and the FLC Environmental Center. Raffle tickets are $5 and will be available at the Environmental Center as well as at the door the night of the event. All proceeds will benefit the FLC Environmental Center.

“Racing Extinction” is a heart-pounding reminder of what a precious jewel we inhabit. To feed the belly as much as the soul, food and drink will be on hand! Additionally, for all the documentary lovers out there, a Fitzroy Pass will be raffled off to this year’s Telluride Mountainfilm Festival in May.

Following the film will be presentations by three local climate experts. The focus of the presentations will be constructive actions that citizens can do themselves to positively impact our world.

To purchase tickets or for more information, visit the FLC Environmental Center website at www.fortlewis.edu/environmentalcenter
