Water Grad School Info Session via Zoom
Colorado State University
Interested in studying water for graduate school? The Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at Colorado State University invites you to join this informative virtual session for all FLC students! Join four CSU water and environmental faculty to hear about their research projects and about how to apply to grad school at CSU.
Learn about graduate school in Civil & Environmental Engineering.
Hear from faculty and current graduate students.
Ask questions. Get answers.
Four CSU faculty members will give brief presentation about their research:
- Dr. Aditi Bhaskar: Dr. Bhaskar specializes in changes to hydrologic systems from urban development, with a focus on interactions between groundwater, surface water, and engineered stormwater and water distribution systems.
- Dr. Chris Thornton: Dr. Thornton is the Director of the Hydraulics Lab at CSU. His focus is in hydraulics, river mechanics, erosion and sedimentation.
- Dr. Karan Venayagamoorthy: Dr. Venayagamoorthy’s primary research expertise is in the field of environmental fluid mechanics and hydraulics with an emphasis on applying numerical simulations to study fundamental fluid flow processes. Some of these are mixing and transport in rivers, estuaries, lakes, coastal and open ocean and air pollution.
- Dr. Susan De Long: Dr. De Long’s research is focused on developing environmentally sustainable biotechnologies. On-going work is advancing technologies for bioenergy generation from waste materials, site bioremediation, biodegradation of emerging contaminants, and water reuse.
Wednesday October 27 @ 4pm
