Health Center Statement of Purpose

To provide high quality medical and behavioral health care to Fort Lewis College students supporting their academic success and ability to participate fully in curricular and co-curricular programs of their choosing

Learning Outcomes

  1. Students will identify prevention strategies and treatment options specific to their lifestyle.
  2. Students will be able to articulate health-related resources available to them and a willingness to utilize those resources.
  3. Students will demonstrate understanding of strategies to help them exercise balance in their academic, social and health-related experiences after graduation.
  4. Students will form positive attitudes regarding their experience in our Health Center that will lead them to expect positive health care experiences after college.
  5. Students will understand their health-related financial resources and responsibilities.
  6. Student Athletic Trainers who work in the Health Center can identify an awareness of diversity and articulate how to contribute to an inclusive social climate.

Fort Lewis College Health Center is dedicated to maintaining the privacy of your health information. We believe we maintain adequate physical, electronic and procedural safeguards to ensure the security of your personal information. The notices below are a description of our legal duties and privacy practices concerning your protected health information. In general, when we need to release your information, we will only release specific, limited information to achieve the purpose for which the information is being used or disclosed.

According to federal law and state statutes, Fort Lewis College Health Center must follow the privacy practices described in the notices below.
