How to join the college Climbing Team
As a FLC Climbing athlete/scholar, you can expect:
- Two climbing practices a week with professional climbing coaches.
- Individualized training plans based on your goals, strengths, and growth areas in climbing.
- Weekly practices at Durango’s new, state of the art climbing gym, Gravity Lab.
- Travel to Rocky Mountain Collegiate Climbing competitions and National Collegiate Championships for bouldering, lead, and top-rope disciplines.
- Involvement in a tight-knit climbing community of students at Fort Lewis, and opportunities to engage with the larger Durango climbing community through events and fundraisers.
- Opportunity to learn from local professional climbers.

Costs
- $300 per semester
- Must have own personal equipment (shoes, harness, and chalk bag)
Requirements
- Academic Requirements
- No academic, financial, or disciplinary holds
- Cumulative GPA of at least 2.0
- Enrolled for a minimum of 12 credits per semester
- Other Requirements
- Adhere to the FLC Climbing Code of Ethics
- Assist with/participate regularly in events and fundraising
- Stay up-to-date on annual dues payments.
