From Belen, New Mexico, Kendra is a proud Fort Lewis College alumna with a BA in Psychology. She received her master's degree in mental health counseling in 2009 and worked in public health for several years before returning to FLC in 2011. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Prevention Specialist in Colorado and has worked in clinical and non-clinical health and well-being settings.
She is the Chair of FLC’s Behavioral Intervention Team. She provides education for faculty, staff, and students to ensure that we are a community of care, always keeping students in the center. She is passionate about building strengths, meeting people where they are, and collaborating on campus and off to ensure our students are connected and as healthy and successful as possible. When she is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her family, especially her children (Bianka and Azalea) and her chiweenies (Clara Bell & Eva Sopapilla), traveling, live music, and new experiences.
