Recovery LLC
New Living Learning Community launching for Fall 2025
FLC Student Housing is excited to introduce the FLC Recovery (FLCR) Living Learning Community (LLC) for the 2025–26 academic year! This supportive housing option is for students dedicated to a substance-free lifestyle and seeking a strong, recovery-focused community.
LLCs are communities within campus housing that connect students around shared interests or goals, fostering stronger bonds and tailored experiences.
What makes the FLCR LLC unique
The FLCR LLC provides a space to connect with peers who share your commitment to recovery. Community highlights include:
- Wellness programming: Activities focused on physical, mental, and social well-being.
- Peer support: Build meaningful relationships with others committed to living substance-free.
- Sober activities: Enjoy engaging events and programs tailored for a fulfilling college experience.
- Adventure House collaboration: Access to outdoor programs and events for added connection and growth.
In its first year, with expansion plans, the FLCR LLC will house eight students (four male-identifying, four female-identifying) in Animas Hall. Students involved in other recovery programs can also participate in LLC programming, even if they live elsewhere.
Eligibility and application process
The FLCR LLC is open to students in early recovery or those committed to a substance-free lifestyle. To join:
- Complete the online application.
- You will be contacted to schedule a meeting with a WellPAC team member for an entry interview.
Residents must maintain a substance-free lifestyle. Violations may result in reassignment to other housing.
Cost and financial assistance
The cost of living in Animas Hall is higher than that of a traditional double room. Financial assistance may be available through FLC Basic Needs resources for students approved to live in the Recovery LLC who demonstrate financial need. Students seeking this support should indicate their need for consideration on their application. Students who receive support will initially be charged the full cost of an Animas Hall assignment. If approved, the assistance may cover the difference between the cost of a traditional double and the Animas Hall rate.
