Canvas is a cloud-based online learning management system (LMS) for all of your FLC courses and a platform for your success. Here is where you will:
There are many ways to access your courses on Canvas. Each semester, your courses will appear in your Canvas Dashboard. You can arrange your Dashboard by course cards, a list of your courses, or by recent activity.
Students can interact with accessibility features built into Canvas course pages and videos. The Immersive Reader feature, in the top right corner of each page, allows students to have the text read to them, adjust text size, spacing and colors, adjust the number of lines on the screen to improve focus, and more.
Videos created in Studio, the Canvas media recorder, have captions available. You can read the caption simply by opening them using the CC button at the bottom of the video frame.
The best way to ensure you are getting the most out of Canvas is to self-enroll in the Passport to Canvas course. This is a self-paced course where you can earn badges in the form of passport stamps when you complete each module. When you enroll in this course, you take charge of your own success by learning the skills listed at the top of the page. How many badges can you collect?
You can access 24/7 Canvas support directly within the app. Use the "Help" link the Global Navigation bar on the left of your screen to contact a Canvas Support Professional. You can also contact IT support or the Student Tech Team.
