Comet Lovejoy: Comet Lovejoy passing through Hercules on a December morning right before dawn. It was barely visible to the naked eye. The globular cluster M13 is to the left in the image.
Date: December 2013
Equipment: Canon 50D, 100mm lens
Exposure: 10x4s at f4.0, ISO 1600.
Processing Notes: The was dark-subtracted and stacked using Deep Sky Stacker.
Additional Comments: Comet Lovejoy C/2013 R1 was discovered in September 2013 and soon outshone comet ISON (the one that was supposed to be the "comet of the century").
