Declination Axis Drive: The is the declination axis drive on the 16" LX200 with the cover off. The little spring near the center of the photo was what had been giving us guiding problems. The old spring was way too weak, but the new spring does just fine. It is what pushes the worm gear in to keep it engaged. Without this working properly, if anything was even slightly out of balance, or a cable got too much of a kink, then the whole scope would "ratchet" when you tried to slew.
