Dear Skyhawk Community,
We’re excited to announce that Fort Lewis College has officially launched a national search for our next president.
We are seeking a visionary leader who will continue to champion the college’s mission of diversity, innovation, and economic development while embracing FLC’s unique role as a Native American-Serving Non-Tribal Institution and as a hub for arts, sciences, and economic vitality in the Four Corners region.
The next president will build upon our strong foundation, fostering educational excellence and expanding FLC’s regional, state, and national influence.
During our listening sessions, the community emphasized that FLC’s next president must share our values, bring a bold vision, and tackle challenges with a sense of humor and tenacity.
We are excited to find a leader who will build on our momentum of success, whether through record-breaking fundraising, increasing enrollment, or creating new programs in response to workforce needs. We are committed to selecting someone who will lead FLC into its next chapter with a focus on student success and community impact.
As we embark on this search, the Board of Trustees and the Presidential Search Committee remain committed to selecting a leader who will uphold our mission of academic excellence, inclusivity, and community partnership.
Thank you for your continued support and dedication to Fort Lewis College,
Janet Lopez, chair of the Presidential Search Committee
Mary Rubadeau, chair of the Board of Trustees
