Dear Colleagues,

I hope everyone is looking forward to a joyful holiday with family and friends. Before you begin your holiday preparations and celebrations, we wanted to provide a quick update on the presidential search. Recruitment activities are in full swing and will continue through early 2025. 

We very much appreciate the input to the online feedback survey and to those of you who have submitted nominations. As we approach the preferred application deadline, please continue to share and promote the opportunity with your networks. Also, we encourage you to continue to think about potential candidates and submit nominations here.

As we shared in our last update, we placed advertisements in a variety of venues the first week of November after the search profile was approved. In addition to the advertising, our consultants have engaged in direct outreach to more than 1,400 sources and prospects. Our consultants are currently working with a group of approximately 100 individuals who have either been nominated, applied, or expressed interest. Buffkin/Baker will continue to recruit until the preferred application deadline, so we expect this number to increase over the next month.  

We are excited about our progress and look forward to the next phase of the search when the search committee begins reviewing and interviewing candidates in 2025. 

We will update you again after the search committee’s candidate review meeting in 2025, but until then I am pleased with our progress, and I appreciate your continued support of the search.
