Colorado educational institutions are seeing an increasing number of students struggling to get enough food, according to a Colorado Trust Collective story. The story highlights FLC's Grub Hub program. The story was also republished in Spanish in the weekly "El Semanario."
An anonymous gift to the President’s Impact Fund allowed for the FLC Tuition Promise expansion and will now cover tuition for Colorado residents whose families earn less than $70,000.
FLC's Student Health Center is now an accredited Colorado Medicaid provider, allowing students to access all of its services at no out-of-pocket cost to them. Administrators believe at least a third of FLC's 3,400 students qualify for Medicaid.
