Welcome to the Fort Lewis College community!!! The two-day New Employee Campus Orientation program is scheduled for Monday, August 12 from 8:30 a.m. - 2 p.m. and Tuesday, August 13 from 8:30 a.m. to noon. Please RSVP for New Employee Orientation on the day/s you are able to attend. We hope you can attend both days to get the full orientation experience! In addition to the New Employee Orientation, faculty are encouraged to attend the Academic Affairs Faculty Orientation on August 14 and 15, 2024, because the content is different for each program. Please contact Jlyn Lewis if you have questions about Academic Affairs Faculty Orientation. The New Employee Orientation program was developed by the HR team as a part of our onboarding process. We recognize that there is so much to learn on a new job, not only about the work, but also about our culture and organizational procedures. We are committed to help new employees succeed in their new roles and desire to support them as much as possible. The purpose of orientation is to build community among new employees, to learn more about Fort Lewis College, and to learn from various departments about key essentials. Orientation presentations include: FLC History & Core Essentials DEI Essentials Admissions Overview Marketing & Communications Overview Title IX & Campus Security Essentials IT & Help Desk Essentials Workday Budget & Purchasing Essentials Student Housing Alumni Engagement Campus Involvement Opportunities And More! Note: A delicious, relaxed complimentary lunch is included on Day 1 and a light breakfast is included on Day 2. If you are unable to attend this month, you are welcome to participate in a future orientation date. Orientation is typically held in January, May, August, and October. Feedback we received from previous participants conveyed that New Employee Orientation was "very much time well spent" and what they learned was "definitely helpful and immediately applicable."
