The Indigenous Society of Psychologists (ISP) is a student chapter of the Society of Indian Psychologists (SIP) ultimately striving to represent Indigenous psychologists by raising awareness and advocating for the mental well-being of Indigenous peoples. ISP is a student organization upholding the intention of creating supportive relationships that provide a network within the professional field of Psychology; our members work together to raise awareness of various mental health conditions and factors that impact Indigenous communities. As students of Fort Lewis College, we are provided with educational resources needed to further our scholarly advancement and our overall understanding of the wide-ranging field of Psychology, and our communal support gives students the professional apparatus necessary to become successful leaders."

Join Charlene Swansen, Reed Library Staff, and Melissa Stordeur, HR Talent Development Specialist, for a stimulating book club discussion on the first two chapters (pp. 1-97) of "Academic Ableism: Disability and Higher Education" on Thursday, May 27 from 12:30-2 p.m. in EBH 130. This groundbreaking text delves into the complex intersection of disability and academia, shedding light on the pervasive challenges faced by individuals with disabilities in higher education. Through engaging dialogue and critical reflection, we will explore the book's insights, implications, and opportunities for creating a more inclusive and equitable learning environment at Fort Lewis College.
