Skyhawk Alert is FLC’s emergency notification service that quickly communicates health and safety information via email and text. These alerts contain critical situational updates about FLC operations and community safety. They are used during campus emergencies or unexpected closures, and if an off-campus incident poses a threat to FLC.
All current students and employees are automatically enrolled to receive Skyhawk Alerts via their official FLC email and cell number listed in Workday. Ensure your phone number is up-to-date to receive these alerts!
Email is FLC’s most reliable communication method. Electronic mail is an official means of communication at FLC, and the College expects messages to be read promptly. Learn more about our College Electronic Mail policy.
Emergency messages will also be posted on social media, the FLC website, and campus digital screens. Skyhawk Alert is one of several ways FLC communicates during emergencies. While alerts are reliable, they rely on third-party providers like cell carriers, so delivery cannot be guaranteed.
For visitors: Emergency alerts are linked to Fort Lewis College and FLC Police Facebook accounts. Social media platforms will post alerts, and push notifications can be enabled on these apps:

Alerts provide immediate actions, and follow-up details are shared via email and social media. Multiple alerts may be sent as a situation evolves, including outside normal business hours.
