Scholarship opportunities for international students
FLC values a diverse international population. To this end, we offer financial assistance to qualified students through renewable scholarships and on-campus employment. FLC awards scholarships during the admissions process to help undergraduate students finance their college education.
First-year and transfer international degree-seeking students are automatically considered for Merit Scholarships during the admission process. You do not need to complete a separate application.
Merit scholarships are based on your cumulative high school GPA, weighted or unweighted, on a 4.0 scale. The Financial Aid Office automatically renews these scholarships if the renewal criteria have been met. Merit scholarships are renewable for up to three years.
Scholarships range up to$10,000 per academic year for first-year students and $3,000 per academic year for transfer students.
We automatically determine eligibility for and apply the Professor's, Dean's, Provost's and Presidential tuition scholarships during admission. Consideration is based on high school GPA. Awards range from $2,000 to $10,000, and are renewable for up to four years.
International student award amounts are the same as out-of-state.
Eligible international students (3.0 or higher college-level GPA who have not previously earned a baccalaureate degree) will be automatically considered for this scholarship. It is renewable for up to 8 semesters or 120 earned credits, whichever comes first.
