Title:

Ancestral Puebloan ruins
Date/circa:  1900/1930
Photographer: Walker Art Studio (Montrose, Colo.)
Subjects: Archaeological sites--Colorado--Photographs; Colorado
Notes: View looking at sandstone cliff with two "holes" that contain ruins. A man is sitting below and to the right of the "holes" and there appears to be two logs joined together to create a makeshift ladder that is located near the man.Site possibly located in Sand Canyon, just west of Cortez, Colorado. Two numbers written on sleeve 1435 and (more recently) 467. Also typed on sleeve is "Sand creek ruins 2 Hale Cliff". Possible typo with "Hale", maybe the word was supposed to be "Hole".
Negative#: 2477
