It's an essential step to ensure you're well-prepared and excited for your first year. Together, let's make it unforgettable!

Do you want to make new friends before classes start? Do you enjoy the outdoors or connecting with people with similar interests? If you answered YES to either of these questions, then our PEAK Experiences are for you! These are small group experiences led by trained student leaders. And they'll be the foundation of your new community of friends, classmates, and campus life.

Time: 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
First-year students: Orientation is mandatory.
Register by choosing one of the following dates:
August 23: New student check-in and on-campus housing move-in. Important housing and dining dates and deadlines
August 26: Classes begin View the 2024-2025 academic calendar
Consider attending in June or July for a smooth transition and to make the most of your Orientation experience before Move-In Day on August 23. Optional residence hall stay is available during the June and July sessions, on a first-come, first-served basis.
*Rotating sessions include Meet with Your Advisor, Prepare for Takeoff, Understanding Your Bill, Community of Care, Student Panel, Families as Partners, Campus Safety, and Campus Partners.
Get to know your community before classes start! Choose from hiking through the San Juan mountain range, engaging in cultural activities, rafting down the San Juan River, or getting a head start on your nursing education.

This is a multi-day river trip where you float the San Juan River during the day and camp outside next to the river under the stars.
Build community with peers from multiple tribal communities. Over 170 tribal nations are represented at FLC from as far north as the Arctic Circle to the Southern reaches of the eastern seaboard.
Kick off your college career with the Pre-Nursing Peak Experience! You will join peers pursuing the Pre-Nursing degree track during this immersive, hands-on, experiential program.
Your new backyard is full of alpine meadows, trout-filled lakes, deep forests, and jagged high peaks, so why not explore it with a group of your new peers?
